Every family will be assigned to a row
in the Church that is guaranteed to accommodate the 6 guests allotted to you plus your First Communicant(s).
Additional guests may be seated throughout the Church - including your row at least 6 feet apart - until the Church is at capacity.
When its time for Communion,
parents will accompany their First Communicant to the priest
. Your child will walk in front with two parents slightly behind them. Your child will receive and then parents.
At Communion time, all
approach the priest with their mask on
. Once you receive the host, you step aside about six feet to remove your mask, consume the host, re-place your mask and return to your seat.
You should be
practicing with your child
the proper way to receive Communion. See the video at the bottom of this email! Receiving Eucharist with a mask is tricky for anyone so
please practice so that your child is comfortable with the procedure.
First Communion will be livestreamed on our Facebook page for those who are unable to attend in person.
Go to our website:
and scroll down to the "Watch Live" box
. Clicking on the live button will open our Facebook page for viewing. You do not need a Facebook account to watch the livestream.
A livestream recording will be available on our Facebook page after First Communion.
We will have a volunteer photographer who will do their best to capture the moment when your child receives First Holy Communion
. I will send an email with the link to the photos once they are posted. Photos will be uploaded to Shutterfly and posted on our website at:
Please note: it may take up to 7 days to get the photos posted.
You may take your own photos. However, we ask that there is no flash photography and you must stay in your seat, without blocking people behind you. We cannot have people roaming about the Church while Mass is happening.
The priest will be available for you to take your own photos with after Mass
e need to vacate the Worship Space to allow time for COVID-19 cleaning before the 5:00pm Mass.
Therefore, the priest
will be stationed out the back entrance of the Church near the Ten Commandments tablets.
As always, please let us know if you have questions or concerns.
God bless you all and know that we are praying for you all as your children are welcomed to the Table!
